Alex Alunday Trio

Saxophonist Alex Alunday is a third-year Jazz Studies student at the University of New Mexico studying under Eric Lau, Ashley Kelly, John Funkhouser, James Balagurchik, and Doug Lawrence. Since he began his education at UNM, he has performed various genres of music professionally across the state of New Mexico, including jazz, funk, pop, soul/RnB, and hip-hop. Through these experiences, he has developed a profound appreciation of music and love for playing. Alex began teaching private lessons as a junior in high school, and has taught not only saxophone, but also clarinet and piano.

Calvin Appleberry is a professional keyboard player and pianist based in Albuquerque New Mexico. Originally from Queens New York. Calvin took an interest in music at the age of 18. he spent most of his early career playing for churches. He began to teach himself to play Jazz Standards and Bebop among other styles. Calvin is often found playing with several local Artists at popular Hotels Supper Clubs and Casinos throughout the city.

Fort, Minkus Jazz Ensemble

The Fort, Minkus Jazz Ensemble consists of Evan Fort on Piano and Jonah Minkus on Drums. This student group has been recognized internationally and has played multiple world renowned jazz festivals. Toby Vigneau, one of the best up and coming musicians from New Mexico will be featured on bass.

Everest Hanlon

Everest Hanlon was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM and studies at the New Mexico School of Music. He has been playing piano since the age of 4, taking inspiration from names like Bill Evans and Benny Harris. Everest is 16 years young and hopes to attend Berkeley School of Music for college. Along with playing at Vernon’s Speakeasy, he also books other venues and personal parties.

Tony Cesarano is a professional guitarist from New York City. Based in Albuquerque since 1989, he has played for the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall for 30 years in addition to Broadway, touring, recording and jazz guitar work. He brings his many years of experience to delight his audience with his exquisite solo jazz guitar work.
