We are looking for a courteous, outgoing individual to make and confirm reservations and perform feedback calls by phone. A polite and friendly phone presence is a must. Host responsibilities include learning our computer reservation system (OpenTable), managing reservations, seating guests, answering phone calls, making reservations and light cleaning in the host and surrounding areas.
We want to meet you if you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. Restaurant experience is nice but not required. A friendly, positive attitude is required.
Make and confirm reservations
Manage table availability
Manage a wait list (if needed)
Call guests for feedback
Collaborate with other restaurant staff
Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
Seat guests in the appropriate section
Maintain a manageable reservation spread
Knowing OpenTable reservation system a plus

Ability to communicate effectively on the phone and in person
High school diploma is a plus but not required
Schedule: Vernon’s Speakeasy is open from Wednesday - Sunday. We take reservations between 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm. We also confirm and manage reservations and call guests for feedback from 10:30 am - 3:30 pm. A typical night shift would be from 3:30 pm - 9:00 pm Wednesday - Sunday.
